The Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) and Ministry of Agriculture and Trade will organize a joint promotion of Serbian companies at the 18th International Food Industry Expo “WorldFood 2012” in Baku from May 15 -17, the PKS published on its website.

The WorldFood is Azerbaijan's leading food expo. Nine Serbian companies will present their offer at a stand which will take up 80m2.

The companies are from the domains of agriculture, food industry, civil engineering, textile industry, metal and electric power industry, trade, tourism and furniture production.

During the expo, the Business Forum Azerbaijan-Serbia will also be held on May 16-17. Representatives of 21 Serbian companies will take part in bilateral talks according to the previously set schedule.

In 2011, the trade fair brought together 4,500 professionals- suppliers, wholesalers, buyers and representatives of restaurant chains.

In the first quarter of 2012, the trade between Serbian and Azerbaijan amounted to USD 4.3 million, which is a remarkable result as it exceeds the one achieved during the entire previous year, Tanjug learned at the PKS.
