“In January, Serbian guests created more than 14% of all overnight stays in our hotels in Bled, thus taking in the second place in our total guest structure right behind guests from Italy,”says Zvezdana Popović, Sava Hotels & Resorts key account manager for Serbian market.

Sava Hotels & Resorts group, Slovenia’s largest provider of tourist services, registers a constant increase of tourist visits from Serbia since the abolition of visas.

The group, which operates at six attractive tourist destinations in Slovenia, specialises in spa tourism, family vacations, active vacations, conferences and meetings, golf tourism, health tourism and camping.

The Sava Hotels & Resorts properties in Bled, one of the most recognisable tourist destinations in Slovenia, registered a growth of overnight stays by Serbian guests of almost 60% over the past two months compared to the same period last year.

“In January, Serbian guests created more than 14% of all overnight stays in our hotels in Bled, thus taking in the second place in our total guest structure right behind guests from Italy,”says Zvezdana Popović, Sava Hotels & Resorts key account manager for Serbian market.

With the aim of achieving comparable growth at the remaining five destinations in north-eastern Slovenia, the group organised an extensive marketing campaign in Serbia called “Best of Slovenia”, presenting special offers for wellness centres, active vacations and Slovenia’s most important sights.

As a part of the campaign, Sava Hotels & Resorts also exhibit their offer at the International Tourism Fair, attracting great attention of general public and business visitors.

“Never before have we experienced such great demand for our packages in Serbia. Our “Best of Slovenia” offer is a big hit,” says Popović, who is representing Sava Hotels & Resorts at the fair. The group prepared a special offer for individual visitors of the fair bringing them extra benefits for bookings until 1 March.
