Stojanović Slavimir will be another creative director of the Agency, in charge of improving the work on existing projects that this agency has been working for - Knjaz Miloš, Heineken, Amstel, Alpha Bank and many others.
What is particularly important is the agreement about establishing the joint company Designis, which will cover services in the field of visual identity and packaging design, for which there is a great need in the Serbian market.
According to Ivan Stanković, head of DDB Communis agency, Slavimir’ s joining the team represents reinforcement to a great Communis team, whose previous work gained considerable prestige as a highly creative agency. He added that he was glad there was this partnership, since it can contribute considerably to the new tendencies on the Serbian market.
his newly established company Designis will be a great partner to Serbian companies that want to either change their packaging design or create new brands, because they will be able to obtain the strategic soundness as well as superb creativity.
"Dream of every designer is to design their lives, enrich and inspire consumers thus enhancing the awareness of society, raising the aesthetic criteria and fight for a better quality of life in general," said Slavimir Stojanović and added: "The best way to achieve this dream is integration into the industry system in which Communis is maintaining high standards and the source of large, socially important and exciting projects. Communis has shown that honest and sincere approach to communications can make itself unique. My role part will be to continue heading the direction and improving the way I deeply believe in."
Slavimir Stojanović, one of the most famous designers from Belgrade. He is regarded as most deserving for raising standards, not only in Serbia but in the whole area of Eastern and Central Europe. He began his design career as an art director at Bates S Team Saatchi & Saatchi.
Slavimir’ s work at Saatchi has also brought many major international awards (over 150), and Stojanović has become one of most praised designers in Central Europe.
Slavimir’s most famous work is a logo for radio station B92, a leading independent public media in Serbia, thanks to which he has won two MTV Free Your Mind Rewards.
Stojanović also introduced the use of modern typography in Serbian design. With the careful selection of letters, Stojanović was the first who started to use some fonts, believing that the letter is not just a means of verbal expression, but a key part to the visual definition. He is the winner of more than 200 international awards and recognitions.
Communis was founded in 2002, after Bates S Team Saatchi & Saatchi agency transformed. From this "Saatchi time" many employees gained significant experience working in the first advertising agency in Former Yugoslavia.
This was a result of working on communication projects for international clients such as Sony, Toyota, British Airways, Procter & Gamble, British American Tobacco , Allied Domecq Agencies, Heineken, Amstel, Reemtsma, Mars.
Cooperation with a lot of domestic and international clients since 2002 up to now provided us significant experience. Communis’ list of clients is expanding every day and some of them are Heineken, Amstel, Henkel, Airbus, British American Tobacco, Alpha Bank, Knjaz Milos and many others.
Communis network covers Belgrade, Sarajevo, Skopje and Sofia, and from January 1st 2010 Communis became a part of the world's largest marketing DDB network.
