Dulic: Serbia looks like a construction site, This is a good sign
The 37th International Building Trade Fair has been festively opened at Belgrade Fair. Under the slogan We Move Limits, SEEBBE provided an opportunity to the construction industry also at this economically difficult moment to feature and get the market in the region, to promote new technologies and new standards in this branch.
More than 900 local and international exhibitors from 29 worldwide countries will introduce to the visitors various construction trade accomplishments, till Saturday, April 16 – from the latest materials, equipment, tools and machinery, through innovations in design and project management, up to the current construction systems, facility furnishing and maintenance, adapting, reconstruction and interior decoration.
- This day is important due to the opening of the 37th International Building Trade Fair, but also another thing – the Planning and Construction Law enters into force today, revised and improved, the Law which will bring considerable innovations and improvements, said Mr. Oliver Dulic, Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning, at the festive opening ceremony.
- It is a good sign that cranes and construction machinery can be seen everywhere in Serbia. Construction sites show progress and improvement and, for the first time after two and a half years, the construction industry shows its first recovery signs.
Pointing out that the Government of Serbia prepared a 500 million Euros investment package for 250 projects, Mr. Dulic also said the Government created positive atmosphere daily and sent the message there was no more joke and delay, the construction industry had to move forward and the entire Serbian economy would then be moved forward, as well.
On behalf of the exhibitors, Mr. Miroljub Ristic, President of the Board of Directors of Mladost Company, also welcomed the guests at the festive opening:
- Our company marks this year 100 years of work and business and we passed a long and difficult way to reach the present success. We have exhibited at the Building Trade Fair continuously since 2004 and have got an excellent cooperation with Belgrade Fair. We follow our prosperity in the most picturesque way also by exhibiting changes at this event – from a small exhibitor in the corner, we reached the central position in the Hall 2. We are also satisfied by our exports to the neighboring countries, especially because they have their own production themselves and many large European companies are present at their market.
