
Bulgarian PM: States in Europe must act as one regarding energy security

Bulgarian government believes that the time has come for EU member states to act as one, realizing the role of the energy security for economy development and stability of each of them as a whole.

In this regard we have a proposal for general European policy for centralized agreement and purchase of energy raw materials for the needs of the EU member states”.
This is what Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said after a sitting of the Summit on Energy Security in Central and Eastern Europe in Budapest, Hungary, the governmental press office announced.
Declaration on the energy projects Nabucco and South Stream gas pipelines and for the construction of terminals for liquid gas has been signed during the sitting.
“All projects in equal importance for us, because their pipelines pass through Bulgarian territory. I am sure that the dialog, cooperation and solidarity are guarantee for global decisions of the issues that all states face with, including the issues in the energy field.
Namely the solidarity and joint efforts of the state in the region will create the best opportunities for realization of policies and projects in favor of all the states”, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said firmly.
During the sitting all participants gathered around the position of the Bulgarian Prime Minister for solidarity between the states and that problems of each state must be considered as general problems.
