Latest products in the sector of construction, as well as technical achievements in the field are presented at the 7th International Fair for Construction, Building Materials and Construction Mechanization - Build and Construct 2010, which opened at Skopje Fair on Tuesday.

The fair brings together more than 300 construction companies, including the promotion of producers, contractors and traders of building materials from Macedonia and abroad.

Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski opened the fair, saying construction would be one of the main generators of Macedonia's GDP this year.

"I expect growth in the construction sector through the pending modernization of airports, road infrastructure, social apartments etc. Moreover, we will invest efforts to promote Macedonian construction companies at foreign markets", stressed Janakieski.

He stated the construction sector would be encompassed in the latest package of anti-crisis measures, enabling reduction of bureaucratic procedures and improvement of the laws on construction and urban planning
