Croatia: Protests spreading; thousands of farmers block roads

Farmers dissatisfied with the Ministry of Agriculture protest the fourth day by blocking roads throughout the east od the country, threatening to block the capital, Index.hr conveys.
The meeting in the Ministry, held this morning, was unsuccessful and minister Petar Čobanković hopes a resolution will be reached at today's government session.
"Around 6,000 farmers are blocking the roads with over 2,000 tractors. Some 2,500 citizens are supporting their claims," self-proclaimed leader, Dragutin Dukić, said for Index.hr.
Protest are spreading to other parts of the country, Križevci and Sisak, with the largest number of people in Ferovac and Vinkovci.

"We will not move until someone promises us a resolution", head of the Croatian Farmers' Association, Tomislav Pokrovac, said.
