Van Rompuy will not participate in the conference in Brdo Kod Kranja

Chairman of the Council of Europe, Herman van Rompuy will not attend tomorrow’s conference on the West Balkans in Brdo Kod Kranja, organized by Slovenia and Croatia, confirmed Van Rompuy’s spokesman Jesús Carmona.

Chairman of the Council of Europe, Herman van Rompuy will not attend tomorrow’s conference on the West Balkans in Brdo Kod Kranja, organized by Slovenia and Croatia, confirmed Van Rompuy’s spokesman Jesús Carmona.

It was unofficially announced that, if Van Rompuy does not go to Brdo Kod Kranja tomorrow , Chairman of the EU Ministers and Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos will not participate in the conference either.

Sources in the European Commission said that European Enlargement Commissioner Stephan Fuele should come to a meeting in Brdo Kod Kranja tomorrow.

Leaders of all countries in the region were invited, but Serbian President Boris Tadic said that he will not participate, if Kosovo is not presented in accordance with Resolution 1244, as UNMIK-Kosovo
