President Filip Vujanovic chose May 23rd as the date on which local elections will be held in 14 municipalities.

President Filip Vujanovic on Tuesday (March 23rd) chose May 23rd as the date on which local elections will be held in 14 municipalities.

The opposition had suggested June 6th, concerned that the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists would get a boost from holding elections the same day Montenegro celebrates the fourth anniversary of its split from Serbia.
