Patriarch Kirill has conducted a service on Easter Saturday, marked this year by all Christians around the world on the same day. He sanctified Easter cakes in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and other Moscow churches.

At five of Moscow’s rail terminals, clergymen and parishioners handed out Easter presents to homeless from the Moscow Patriarchate.

On Easter morning on Sunday, radio and television stations will broadcast an Easter message from the Patriarch. There will be translations into 14 languages.
