The Romania Orthodox Church (BOR) Patriarch HB Daniel addressed the Orthodox Christians an Easter Pastoral Letter, stressing that the 'Holy Day of Jesus Christ's Resurrection means not only a requiem and a special occasion to witness the truth of Christ's return to life, after His Crucifixion, but also a spiritual insight or prophetic icon of the resurrection of the people of all times and nations.'

Our Church's Creed confesses the bond between Christ's glorious return and the resurrection of the dead and the Universal Judgment of all peoples and humans, where we witness that Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, was crucified, died, and was buried, descended into hell, and rose again and ascended into heaven, and he will come to judge the living and the dead, and His Kingdom is everlasting, the Letter reads.
The light connecting the sacrament of the resurrection of the dead, their last judgment and the joy of the eternal life is the very light of life and church's work, in the world, the BOR Patriarch said.
Therefore, when we prepare ourselves for the Easter, during the Lent we regret the bad things we have done and go to confession, we judge ourselves and ask for forgiveness for the wrong we did by our thought, word and deed. Patriarch Daniel emphasized that the Holy Days of Easter urge the Christians to penance and forgiveness, good deeds and holy life
