Doctors in district hospitals across Bulgaria to start effective strike

Doctors are against the delegated budgets of hospitals and the limits imposed on medical care outside hospitals. They also insist on amendments in the law regulating the budget of the National Health Insurance Fund and its updating.
Medics in district hospitals in Bulgaria, that have been planned to be closed down, will start effective strike on April 7. Sofia, however, will not be affected by the protests, announced Metodi Madjarov, Chairman of the Sofia Organization of the Bulgarian Medical Association.
Doctors are against the delegated budgets of hospitals and the limits imposed on medical care outside hospitals. They also insist on amendments in the law regulating the budget of the National Health Insurance Fund and its updating.
The Bulgarian Medical Association will propose a new text guaranteeing the timely payment of the remunerations due to medical personnel in the country.
