IMF rejects accusations of fueling the crisis in Central and Eastern Europe

The IMF rejected the accusations put forward by Czech Deputy Governor Mojmir Hampl who declared last week that the IMF fueled the economic crisis in Central and Eastern Europe to determine regional states to call for help, Bloomberg reads.

Gerry Rice, deputy director of the IMF international relations department said that these declarations contradict the reality.

On the contrary, Gerry Rice said, the IMF help to counter the crisis through rapid and decisive actions.

Deputy Governor of the Czech central bank declared on Friday that the IMF fueled last year the economic crisis in emerging Europe by misinterpreting some data.
