The first Turkey-Greece Regional Business Forum will be held in Turkey’s westernmost province of Edirne, located along the Greek border, on June 17-19, according to the board chairman of a local chamber of commerce.
The attending companies will be able to conduct bilateral talks with Greek representatives at the forum, said Cemal Yazıcı, board chairman of the Keşan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, or KTSO.
The business forum will be organized under the cooperation of the Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce, the Union of Hellenic Entrepreneurs, the Edirne Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Greek Consulate in Edirne.
Regional cooperation and financing opportunities will also be taken up in detail, he said.
“In the meeting, non-tariff barriers in bilateral trade and solution suggestions will be discussed with the attendance of the related chairs. The participants at the forum will be able to convey their problems,” Yazıcı said.
The regional business forum in Edirne aims at high attendance from the Turkish and Greek business world, he said. The forum expects participants from Tekirdağ, Edirne, Kırklareli, Çorlu and Çanakkale in Turkey and from Thessaloniki, Kavala, Xanthi, Komotini and Alexandropoulos in Greece, he said.
The attendance fee for the Turkey-Greece Regional Business Forum is 85 euros, Yazıcı said.
