The Danube is reported to have reached the flood level in Giurgiu port, 60 km south of Bucharest, with water having reached up to 640 cm, with a rising trend of 1 cm in some hours. The flow is 12,400 cubic metres/second.

The Danube at Corabia, 166 km southwest of Bucharest, on Monday reached the 600-cm danger level, and the constant rises in the river's flow over the past two weeks have generated flooding of pastures in Corabia and the village of Garcov.

Because of the Danube River overflowing its banks, which started two weeks ago, 74 hectares of pastureland owned by the local town hall are under water now and the riverside is also covered in water.

Giurgiu Water Management System officials say that the county was issued code orange advisories because of the recent developments in the Danube River's flow and the advisories are likely to stay in place for the next days as well.
