In the last three years, the economy of Federation shed 12,613 jobs, while public administration employed 5,543, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of FBiH Jago Lasic said yesterday.

What this means, he said further, is that stabilization measures were not implemented, and budget spending was growing on human resources. The processing industry and construction were areas where the most jobs were lost in this period.

Taking into account the number of pensioners, the employed, the unemployed and students, we can see that each employed person in BH sustains 2.44 people on average, while in FBiH the pensioner/worker ratio is 2.64, according to Lasic.

He also stressed the problem of education system not producing the type of skills the economy needs, which is why he is in favour of a thorough change of the education system.
