After a scanner check of a truck customs officers at Kulata border checkpoint have found 73 illegal emigrants including women and children, travelling to Europe, press centre of the National Customs Agency announced.

The emigrants were hidden in a fridge truck with Bulgarian license plate and a Greek driver, loaded with water melons for Debrecen, Hungary.

The scanner located an item with unusual shape amid the water melons. The customs officers found that it was a chest in which were hidden the illegal emigrants.
