Heavy rain accompanied by lightning fell in coastal Varna, a reporter of Radio Focus – Varna announced. For seconds the weather in the seaside town has changed - from sunny and warm to cool and rainy.

Man was killed after a tree fell on his car during the storm in coastal Varna. The incident happened on Varnenchik Boulevard, Prof. Vladimir Ivanov, Director of Civil Protection said Radio Focus – Varna.

The man at the apparent age of about 55 years has died on the spot after a tree fell over his car. His companion has been serious injured - a man of 30 years who was placed for treatment in the Hospital St. Anna with serious injuries.

Situation in coastal Varna is now getting under control after the rainstorm, press centre of Civil Protection told FOCUS News Agency .

It is raining in different places in town. Three signals for flooded basements were received at the service and five about fallen trees.
