Greek customs authorities late Monday banned a journalists team of Skopje TV Channel 5 to enter Greece in order to cover an observation of the Ilinden Holiday in the Ovcarani village.
Greek customs authorities late Monday banned a journalists team of Skopje TV Channel 5 to enter Greece in order to cover an observation of the Ilinden Holiday in the Ovcarani village.
TV editor Goran Momirovski confirmed to MIA that the crew was not allowed to enter Greece with its cameras. The Greek authorities also asked the crew to present a permit for shooting the celebration in Ovcarani.
The crew was told to return home or enter Greece on foot, leaving their cameras behind.
This evening Macedonians living in Greece are celebrating St Ilija or Ilinden in the Ovcarani village.
