Director of the Administration for Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Prevention (USPPFT) Vane Cvetanov has resigned from the post he held since 2006.

The National Anti-Corruption Commission recently asked Cvetanov to resign due to remarks on the Administration's operations by the State Audit Bureau.

However, Cvetanov says the resignation does not come as a result of the Commission's request, but "due to the Government's hypocritical policy and lack of interest to combat real crime".
