The National Weather Administration (ANM) on Monday issued code yellow extreme heat advisory for 21 counties that will stay on August 2-4, 2010.

The National Weather Administration (ANM) on Monday issued code yellow extreme heat advisory for 21 counties that will stay on August 2-4, 2010.

ANM reports on its website that in the interval mentioned in the warning the weather will be hot, with extreme heat in the afternoons, when the thermal scomfort index is expected to exceed the critical level in southern and eastern parts of Romania and on smaller areas in the western and central parts of the country.

ANM says temperatures will frequently reach 35 degrees Celsius and even 36-37 degrees Celsius in the shade in most of the eastern province of Moldavia, the southern province of Muntenia, the southeastern province of Dobrogea and eastern Oltenia.
