Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha has stated in an interview published by the Vienna daily Der Standard that Tirana will not submit its own resolution on Kosovo to the UN GA.

Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha has stated in an interview published by the Vienna daily Der Standard that Tirana will not submit its own resolution on Kosovo to the UN GA.

"So far, the issue of Kosovo has been an issue between Belgrade and the international community. However, after the ruling of the ICJ, Serbia's efforts are unjustified, because Serbia has to abide by international law.

Serbia itself has forwarded the question to the ICJ and received the verdict. That is why every attempt to oppose the international ruling are bizarre and will not help," underscored Premier Berisha.

After the announcement of the ICJ's opinion, Tirana intensified its lobbying in order to secure new recognitions of the state unilaterally proclaimed by the Albanians in Kosovo.
