Serbian and NATO experts on partnership for peace activities

A meeting of Serbian and NATO military cooperation experts, dedicated to the realization of future activities under the Partnership for Peace program, started at the Serbian Armed Forces' (SAF) Center for Peacekeeping Operations.

A meeting of Serbian and NATO military cooperation experts, dedicated to the realization of future activities under the Partnership for Peace program, started at the Serbian Armed Forces' (SAF) Center for Peacekeeping Operations.

During the two-day meeting, representatives of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples should help Serbia draft its Individual Partnership Program for 2011, its was published on the Defense Ministry's website.

The experts are also expected to select the areas of cooperation and activities from the 2011 draft Euro-Atlantic Partnership Work Plan, as well as discuss support in realizing the activities within the Partnership for Peace program.

Head of the Serbian army's Training and Doctrine Command Petar Cornakov opened the meeting, which was attended by Allied Joint Force Command Naples Battleship Commander Valentine Pufulescu and Major Darren Mills. Cornakov pointed out that significant results have been achieved in drafting Serbia's Individual Partnership Program, and that "from here on, it is important to focus on training functionality and rationality.

" The meeting was also attended by representatives of the NATO Military Liaison Office, the Serbian Defense Ministry and the SAF General Staff. Serbia joined NATO's Partnership for Peace program in 2006.
