FYRMacedonia: Floods destroy roads and railway lines in Strumica region

All streets in Strumitsa and many streets in the region are flooded. Teams of the city municipal service and firefighting brigades are working for the removal of the aftermaths caused by the floods.

Torrential rains that are falling since early morning in the region of Stumica and Valandovo flooded many houses and streets, Makfax reported.

Railway line between Skopje and Gevgelja by the village of Smokovica has been destroyed from the pouring rain storm.

Floods caused formation of drifts along the road between Valandovo and Udovo, due to which the road was closed for traffic.
