Announcing his resignation, Marovic told Tanjug that it is his personal decision and that he will remain at Montenegro’s EU policy and Social Democratic Party’s disposal as long as it is necessary.
Montenegrin deputy prime minister Svetozar Marovic resigned from his post, Podgorica media reported Tuesday evening.
Announcing his resignation, Marovic told Tanjug that it is his personal decision and that he will remain at Montenegro’s EU policy and Social Democratic Party’s disposal as long as it is necessary.
Marovic was deputy PM from last year's parliamentary elections.
Together with Milo Djukanovic and Momir Bulatovic, Marovic performed highest state functions after the so-called anti-bureaucratic revolution 20 years ago, when Montenegrin communist-socialist government was ousted.
He was the last president of the State Union Serbia and Montenegro, until May 22, 2006, when Montenegrin citizens in referendum voted for independence.
