Eight Macedonian nationals arrived Tuesday in Macedonia with a "Turkish Airlines" flight from Cairo via Istanbul.
Eight Macedonian nationals arrived Tuesday in Macedonia with a "Turkish Airlines" flight from Cairo via Istanbul.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said 17 Macedonian nationals, along with Albanian nationals and Albania's ambassador to Cairo, should arrive to Tirana today.
The return of the remaining 16 Macedonian nationals, who asked for assistance from the Macedonian Embassy, including six family members of embassy staff, is expected for tomorrow.
Macedonian ambassador to Cairo, Mile Manolev is staying in Egypt for the time being.
Pertaining to neighboring countries, the Albanian embassy has been closed, whereas the ambassadors of Bulgaria and Greece remain in Egypt following a decision of EU member-states.
The MoFA urges Macedonian citizens in Egypt, who have not contacted the Embassy, to do so in order to get advice and assistance.
