Bulgaria: ABB elects new chairman

The Association of Banks in Bulgaria (ABB) said on Thursday that Levon Hampartzoumian, CEO of Bulgaria's largest lender UniCredit Bulbank, had been elected board chairman at the general meeting of the organisation.

Hampartzoumian succeeds DSK Bank chief executive Violina Marinova, who headed ABB for two terms. New board member terms were granted to First Investment Bank's CEO Maya Georgieva and Doroteya Nikolova, executive director of DSK Bank.
Radka Toncheva, chief executive of United Bulgarian Bank (UBB), and Petar Andronov, head of CiBank, were reappointed for another term.
