The prices of gasoline drop by Denar 4,5 and those of diesel by Denar 2,2 per liter as of Saturday in line with Government's decision to reduce excise tax and contribution for the mandatory oil reserves, the Energy Regulatory Commission concluded at Friday's session.

The new price of unleaded fuel of 95 octanes is Denar 76 per liter, gasoline of 98 octanes is Denar 77,5 and diesel fuel DE-V is Denar 68,8 per liter.

On Wednesday, the Government reached a decision to reduce the excise tax of unleaded fuel by four denars per liter and diesel fuel by two denars per liter. In addition, the contribution for the mandatory oil reserves has been reduced by Denar 0,5.

The Government's move is an attempt to protect the standard of citizens, which has been degraded due to the surge of oil prices at world markets.
