According to the State Statistical Office data, FYRMacedonia's industrial production index this April was higher for 11,8% in comparison with the same period last year.

The industrial production in the section mining and quarrying in April 2011 increased by 20.8%, in manufacturing industry for 14.7%, while in the section electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it declined for 6.3%.

The industrial production of main industrial groups was higher in the energy sector for 12.9%, intermediate goods industries -- 4.7%, capital goods industries -- 44.8%, durable consumer goods industries -- 107.0% and non-durable consumer goods industries - 7.3%.

The industrial production index in January - April 2011, in comparison with same period last year went up for 13,2 percent.
