The planned US anti-missile shield is to cover the whole of Europe, including Bulgaria, EllenTauscher, US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security said.

In Washington she met with a group of MEPs, including Bulgarian MEP Ivailo Kalfin. The new concepts aims covering the whole territory of Europe, including all Bulgarian territories, which were not included in the initial plan, Ms Tauscher said.

She added that negotiations between Washington and its partners from Eastern Europe are sucessful and the locations of radars are currently being discussed.
