Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski last night attended a reception organised by US President Barack Obama, which was an excellent opportunity for over 150 heads of state and government taking part at the annual UN General Assembly to discuss various issues.
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski last night attended a reception organised by US President Barack Obama, which was an excellent opportunity for over 150 heads of state and government taking part at the annual UN General Assembly to discuss various issues.
In the course of the reception, PM Gruevski met with the premiers of Sweden, Turkey, Great Britain and Albania - Fredrik Reinfeldt, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, David Cameron and Sali Berisha - as well as with the Chancellor of Austria, Werner Faymann, MIA reports from New York.
Gruevski also held talks with the presidents of the Czech Republic, Croatia and Kosovo - Vaclav Klaus, Ivo Josipovic and Atifete Jahjaga - and with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov and the Croat member of the Bosnia & Herzegovina Presidency, Zeljko Komsic.
The Macedonian PM is set to meet in New York with UN mediator Matthew Nimetz to affirm Macedonia's interest and commitment to finding a mutually acceptable solution to the name dispute imposed by Greece over the constitutional name.
Gruevski is also due to attend an event organised by the Japanese embassy at the UN, after which he will deliver an address at the Forum of Balkan Countries
