Two Istrian olive oils have found themselves amongst the 15 best in the world according to the guide Flos Olei that specialises in these products.

Extra virgin olive oils from Giancarlo Zigante and Olea B.B. made it amongst the crème de la crème of this year's guide.

Zigante was named the winner in the category of biologically produced olive oil from Istrian bjelica olives. Olea B.B. oil was named the best in the category of olive oil with pronounced fruitiness.

This year’s guide features four Dalmatian and 43 Istrian olive growers. After Toscana, Istria has the highest number of representatives this year.

The guide will be presented on 28 November in Rome, daily Vecernji List writes.
