Professor Friedman is absolutely correct in his statement.
It is obvious; the European Union is acting purely on behalf and as per the demands of its member Greece. This type of attitude is simply unacceptable; it’s demeaning and is harming the EU image.
By blindly complying with Greek demands and erasing the Macedonian Language and identity from its report; the European Union has already infringed and broken its own Human Rights criteria, where an individual or individuals are free to express their identity, language, ethnicity sexual orientation etc.
I strongly urge any person that feels degraded by this European Union action to raise the matter with the European Court of Human Rights.

As he says we are living in the 21st not 19th century. These modern 'macedonians' need to realise this as well. This is the information age and they can not claim ancient Greek history as their own. This is not a matter of Greeks erasing identity. It's a matter of former Bulgarians creating one. As long as they want to claim the ancient history as theirs they deserve this treatment.
