President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik said that in 20 years, Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) could become all-Bosniak if the parity principle was abolished as the basis for establishing the state institutions.

President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik said that in 20 years, Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) could become all-Bosniak if the parity principle was abolished as the basis for establishing the state institutions.

Commenting on Thursday's unsuccessful meeting of six leaders of the political parties in Bosnia-Herzegovina on setting up the BiH Council of Ministers, Dodik said in a statement for Radio Television Republika Srpska that the Serbian side again demonstrated flexibility, but that the meeting confirmed that “the problem is among partners” in the Federation.

Dodik said that Bosniaks are requesting four ministerial seats, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance among others, as well as the Administration for Indirect Taxation, which illustrates their need for dominance.

“If that goes through, in 20 years this country could become all-Bosniak,” said Dodik, who is also leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD).

According to the Sarajevo-based daily Avaz, EU special representative to BiH Peter Sorensen and EC Director General for Enlargement Stefano Sannino explicitly demanded that the BiH Council of Ministers be set up by the start of December.
