First diplomatic charity winter fair held in Sarajevo

Over 15 embassies and diplomatic branches in BiH organized First diplomatic winter fair in Sarajevo on Saturday, which has the aim to connect all communities in spirit of raising funds for charity for children and Associations "Oasis" and "Education builds BiH".

Over 15 embassies and diplomatic branches in BiH organized First diplomatic winter fair in Sarajevo on Saturday, which has the aim to connect all communities in spirit of raising funds for charity for children and Associations "Oasis" and "Education builds BiH".

At the fair, where there were traditional dishes of different parts of the world, traditional products of the countries were offered. France presented its traditional cheese, the USA Christmas cookies, Switzerland chocolate fountain, and there were also products from Romania, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, China...

Children of all nations paraded, who were able to try treats from all parts of the world and there was also children's corner with many activities.

Executive director of Association "Education builds BiH" Jovan Divjak stated for FENA that the fair was not only organized to raise funds, but because diplomatic community in BiH is engaged in projects related to children, such as inclusion of children with difficulties, in education system of BiH.

Wife of the US Ambassador to BiH Marie Köck-Thoby stated for FENA that the fair is extremely significant because it will firstly help in education of young people in BiH and everyone in BiH will now know that there is French school in Sarajevo since the fair was held there.

Wife of French Ambassador to BiH Claudia Carceroni emphasized that the aim of the fair is to build solidarity with less fortunate people, especially because education is investment in the future.

Money was donated by paying tickets, buying a product and taking part in bingo, and participants emphasized that if this turns out to be successful, diplomatic community will organized these types of activities in the future as well.
