Greek farmers to protest on country’s roads

It is expected that the largest protest will be held on Sunday, 29 January. Farmers will protest on the motorway between Athens and Thessaloniki.

Greek farmers will protests again on the country’s roads. The Greek organization of farmers is preparing a new wave of protests, which will end with a large rally in Thessaloniki.

Farmers complain of higher payments to the agricultural insurance fund ELGA and demand 100% compensation for losses they suffer from produce destroyed by natural disasters and outbreaks, ANA-MPA news agency reported.

It is expected that the largest protest will be held on Sunday, 29 January. Farmers will protest on the motorway between Athens and Thessaloniki.
