The first referendum data shows the lowest support for the European Union accession in the two southernmost Croatian counties, Split-Dalmatia County and Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

The first referendum data shows the lowest support for the European Union accession in the two southernmost Croatian counties, Split-Dalmatia County and Dubrovnik-Neretva County.

In both areas, 42 per cent of voters voted against their country's European Union bid.

The biggest support was in Medjimurje County in Croatia's north (75 per cent) and Brod-Posavina County (72 per cent).

There were 3.47 per cent of Croatians voting abroad, 84.1 of them in support of their country's EU accession.
