In January, the overall indicator of the business climate in Bulgaria has been lowered by 0.7 per cent compared to the levels in the previous month, which is entirely due to the lower levels of retail trade, the National Statistical Institute has announced.

The economic situation in the industrial sector has remained unchanged. The total production output of the industrial sector has also stayed the same.
The average load of production capacities in January has increased by 2.5 per cent compared to October 2011 and has reached 71.9 per cent.
At the same time, plants and factories are expecting to operate at less than their maximum capacity.
