PM Berisha: Internet access at lowest price

The prime minister said that the government, in respect of the interests of the Albanian citizens, will do its best to provide them with Internet service at the lowest price and even free Internet access at 1200 new points along with 510 post offices countrywide.

Prime Minister Sali Berisha said during meeting of the Council of Ministers today that soon the Albanian citizens will get Internet access at the cheapest price.

Therefore, the prime minister said that the government, in respect of the interests of the Albanian citizens, will do its best to provide them with Internet service at the lowest price and even free Internet access at 1200 new points along with 510 post offices countrywide.

The prime minister expressed his satisfaction with the recent indicators the Regulatory Enterprise of Post Telecommunications has provided on use of mobile telephony and communications increase by 184% following the notable cut of prices.

The prime minister said that the government expresses its regret at the price Internet is sold today to the Albanian citizens, but it is taking measures so that to provide it at the lowest price in Europe.

The prime minister announced that the Albanian Post Office will contract the necessary Internet amount to be offered to the other companies at the lowest prices. “This is another promise of ours, - said the prime minister –on Albania in the digital age”.
