Liberal parties from Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia meet in Sofia

The two-day forum seeks to strengthen cross-border cooperation of the parties partnering with the foundation from the three countries, as well as the exchange of political practices.

A conference is underway in Sofia of liberal parties from Bulgaria, Serbia and Macedonia. This is the second three-country meeting of the liberals from Southeast Europe organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.

The two-day forum seeks to strengthen cross-border cooperation of the parties partnering with the foundation from the three countries, as well as the exchange of political practices.

Participants are discussing the crisis of liberalism in Europe and the latest wave of nationalism and populism. Debates will also focus on the EU debt crisis and on the parliamentary elections due in Serbia.
