Members of the ultra right movement from Europe announced a meeting and a march for the weekend as a sign of support to the Croatian generals sentenced in the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY).
As a response to the actions of the ultra-right movement, the activists of the Citizens' Initiative called on anti-fascists to stage a counter-meeting in downtown Zagreb on Saturday.
Croatian President Ivo Josipovic joined in on the severe criticism as regards the nationalist meeting in Croatian public and media on Tuesday.
The right-oriented and extra-parliamentary HCSP previously announced that a meeting would be held on Friday which should be attended by several ultra-right parties and associations from Hungary, Bulgaria, Germany, Austria, France and Flanders region from Belgium.
The participants at the meeting will also include the Hungarian 64 Counties Youth Movement which has certain territorial pretensions against Serbia and Croatia. The march has been scheduled for Saturday.
