The Ministry of Interior is intensively working on solving the Smiljkovci murder case and continually analyses evidence, citizens' calls, video recordings etc.

According to preliminary findings, there are at least three perpetrators. However, all scenarios are possible, nothing has been excluded.

After doing the case reconstruction, it has been determined that the grisly murders were perpetrated within 5-10 minutes, somewhere before 8 p.m., but the police was informed about it at 22,15h.

The MoI has processed the "Opel Omega" vehicle, found in the murder site proximity, as well as the "Mercedes" from which the license plates were used. The police is currently working on traces found in the Opel.

Pertaining to assistance offered by foreign intelligence services, primarily from the neighboring countries, there has not been any specific support thus far.
