Factory will become a regional center for producing and mounting steel constructions.
Board of trustees of Bitola-based Monting company has accepted the offer by Slovenia's Meteorit for purchasing the factory's real estate that has been out of function for years, Government's Public Relations Sector announced on Friday in a press release. Meteorit is the leading Slovenian company for planning, manufacturing and mounting steel profiles and constructions, which has offered Euro 1,8 million for Monting's real estate. In accordance with the restoration plan of Monting, which was presented to Vice PM Zoran Stavreski by the Meteorit management, initially this company will invest over Euro 2 million for contemporary equipment and machines in order to modernise the overall factory infrastructure. Products for the Macedonian, regional and European market will be manufactured in Monting's facilities, thus the factory will become a regional center for producing and mounting steel constructions. In the first phase of the investment, over 100 people will be employed, while the number is expected to be significantly increased in compliance with the developing plans. The production process will start in March 2008. This investment fully encompasses Government's efforts towards reorganising and restarting production capacities that have been out of function for years, reads the press release. (MIA)
