A new cigarette factory to be built in Mojkovac

The head of the Tobacco Agency, Branislava Bozovic, announced that Montenegro tabak company will be issued a license for the production of cigarettes any day now. According to the deadlines set by the investor in the offer, the new tobacco factory in Mojkovac ought to launch the production in the beginning of 2009.
Ms. Bozovic announced that Montenegro will get a new Tobacco Act this year, because Montenegro is joining the World Trade Organization as well as because of the need to align some regulations with the actual market situation.
According to the new regulations importers of tobacco will be licensed by the Agency. A change will be introduced in the form of a fee that the producers will have to pay, such a fee was only paid by the traders so far.
