Croatian Durata buys Daruvarska Pivovara

The Durata company produces 120 million tins for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per year.

Croatian company Durata, the only one in the country which specializes in bottling and PET packaging production, has acquired beer maker Daruvarska Pivovara, the only Croatia-owned company on the local beer market.

The price of the acquisition has not been announced yet, but it is estimated at some 10 million euro, according to the Zagreb office of Italian Foreign Trade Institute (ICE). Daruvarska Pivovara holds a 2.5% share of the local market and its most popular brand is the Staro Cesko beer.
