 In Vlasenica, at the Rakita cemetery, 29 Vlasenica citizens whose bodies were found in mass graves shall be buried on April 25th at 11.00.

Send off shall be organized in Tuzla day earlier, on April 24th at 17.00.

it was announced that number of persons to be buried next week might be even larger considering that they expect final identification for three more victims while they are awaiting identity discovery for 15 more victims.

Among victims which will be buried in Rakita there are mother and daughter Almasa and Suada Hajdarevic and Salko and Mehmed Efendic who come from a family in which seven brothers and one cousin were murdered.

Youngest victim is Almir Jahic who was 16. His body was found in the mass grave along with the body of his father who was buried last year.

2.600 civilians were murdered in Vlasenica during the past war. Until now, 650 remains were exhumed and 350 bodies identified.

Only Dragan Nikolic was convicted to 20 years of imprisonment for crimes in this town, while proceedings are ongoing against two more individuals. Other perpetrators are still free.
