Kosovo Prime Minister Hasim Taci appointed Wednesday Ilber Hisa coordinator for implementation of northern Kosovo strategy, Kosovo government said in a release.

The appointment is part of the Kosovo government endeavors for restoring law and order in the north of the country, the release says.

Hisa will be in charge of coordinating all government activities and of cooperation with relevant international mechanisms in the implementation of northern Kosovo strategy, the release says.

Hisa is an official of the ORA party, which joined the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo two days ago, and was a member of the Kosovo Albanian delegation to the failed negotiations with Serbia in Vienna on Kosovo status.
