Last week at SAF Central Military Club 114 military pensioners with unresolved housing issues signed contracts with the Military Social Insurance Fund for interest-free housing loans.

The contacts were signed in compliance with the regulations on use, conditions and ways of using funds for improving the material situation of military pensioners with no flats.

This Book of Regulations published in the Official Military Paper 34/09, preconditions for those who have military pensioners to apply for this interest-free loan, and are eligible for a partial reimbursement of the funds, reaching the worth of 2000) EUR in RSD, following the National Bank of Serbia exchange rate, on the day when the money transfer is made.

– This will improve the housing situation for 3.036 users, where 354 pensioners have already applied for these loans. A total of 218 approvals have been granted, and so far we have seen as many as 40 contracts signed, where 79 million RSD will be use, as Colonel Sladjan Ristic said the Head of the Department for Standards, Tradition and Veterans, in his address to all the present.

This means that pensioners from 18 towns-Beolgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Pancevo, Subotica, Krusevac, Vrsac, Valjevo, Sombor, Smederevo, Sabac, Zrenjanin, Ruma, Aleksinac, Loznica, Sremska Mitrovica and Alibunar will have a chance to resolve this crucial issue.

Colonel Ristic announced that another 500 families will get flats in the same manner. This will be another way of MoD’s methods to improve the status of military staff.

Brig. Gen. Veljko Todorovic, Chairperson of the Managing Board of the Fund and the Director of the Fund Colonel Milojko Milovanovic, MA, presented the military pensioners with contracts granting the funds.
