Italian and Slovenian towns provide aid for Zajecar

Mayor of the Italian town Monfalcone Gianfranco Pizzolitto has organized collection of funds for the households in Zajecar which suffered serious damage in the floods of Beli Timok River.

The aid consists of hygiene items, wardrobe, shoes, blankets, sheets and funds, the Zajecar administration stated on Wednesday.
Zajecar has excellent cooperation and brotherly relations with this Italian town. Furthermore, the Slovenian municipality of Trzic, with which Zajecar will mark 30th anniversary of twinning in 2010, decided to pay EUR4,000 into the account opened for the aid of flood-endangered areas.
The Slovenian municipality also organized collection of funds for hygiene items, blankets, wardrobe and other necessities.
