NBS: Key policy rate lowered to 9%

After reviewing current economic developments, the NBS Monetary Policy Committee decided to lower the key policy rate by 0.5 percentage points.

After reviewing current economic developments, the NBS Monetary Policy Committee decided to lower the key policy rate by 0.5 percentage points.

As of today, the key policy rate equals 9 percent.

Governor Jelašić will hold a press conference later in the day to explain the main reasons behind the MPC's decision.

The next MPC meeting is scheduled for 9 April 2010.
